Eastenders

EastEnders is a long-running, popular British television soap opera, first broadcast in the United Kingdom on BBC One on 19 February 1985. It currently ranks as one of the most watched shows in the United Kingdom. EastEnders storylines examine the domestic and professional lives of the people who live and work in the fictional London Borough of Walford in the East End of London. The series primarily centres around the residents of Albert Square, a Victorian square of terraced houses, and its neighbouring streets, namely Bridge Street, Turpin Road and George Street, and which encompasses a pub, street market, night club, community centre, cafe and various small businesses, in addition to a park and allotments.

Coronation street

Coronation Street (colloquially known as Corrie, Corro, or The Street) is an award-winning prime time soap opera set in a fictitious town named Wetherfield close to Manchester. The show is produced in Manchester being created by Tony Warren. It is the longest running and most watched soap opera on British television.

Emmerdale

Emmerdale, known as Emmerdale Farm until 1989, is a popular and critically acclaimed British soap opera that has aired on ITV since 1972. It is set in the fictional village of Emmerdale (known as Beckindale until 1994) in West Yorkshire, England, and was created by Kevin Laffan, with Steve Frost and Gavin Blyth serving as Executive Producer and Series Producer respectively since 2009.

The Bill

The Bill is a long running British police procedural television series, unusual among police dramas in that its focus is on the lives and work of one shift of police officers, rather than on any particular aspect of police work. The series is produced by Talkback Thames, its name originating from "Old Bill", a slang term for the police and Geoff McQueen's original title for the series. It originated as a one-off drama, entitled Woodentop in August 1983. However, ITV were impressed to the extent that The Bill started as a series in October the following year. Woodentop starred Trudie Goodwin as WPC June Ackland of the fictional Sun Hill police station in London, who later became the last remaining original cast member.

Neighbours

Neighbours was created in 1984 by Reg Watson, Seven Network picked up the show in 1985 following the success of Watson's Sons and Daughters. The first episode was broadcast on 18 March 1985. The Melbourne-produced programme underperformed in the Sydney market[4] leading to Seven Network cancelling the show later that year. Neighbours was immediately picked up by rival Network Ten[5][6] beginning with episode 171 on 20 January 1986 [7].

Home and Away

Home and Away is a Logie Award-winning Australian soap opera that has been produced in Sydney by the Seven Network since July 1987. It premiered in January 1988 and is the second longest-running drama on Australian television, winning more than 30 Logie Awards.[1]
